Picked 2.63 tonne on March 8th. So a far better vintage yield wise for Durif than 2020.
Plunged and pumped over four times a day for 12 days. Then left alone for 28 months in shaved out American Oak to work its magic and produce a deep, dark exhuberant purple wine.
On the nose this wine is luscious dark blueberry conserve with hints of preserved plums on the mid pallete. The soft intergrated oak mellows out the heavy petite sirah tannins with an exceptional all round mouth fill finish.
